Electrical
Electrical contracting was added to our range of services in 2007.
Led by our Head of Electrical Services Peter Dighton, our electrical team is NICEIC accredited, with all members fully C&G qualified to 17th Edition.
To keep abreast of regulatory developments and industry innovations, we implement a proactive continual training scheme for the entire team. We also employ a number of apprentices sourced from our local area to support both our electricians and our surrounding community.
Projects
Our electrical projects range from minor enabling works for our fabric and mechanical divisions to stand-alone contracts up to £1m.
In addition to our standard electrical services for offices, retail and leisure environments and public buildings, we also deliver specialised electrical projects for hospitals, mental health facilities, critical banking environments and communications rooms.
Recent innovative design and installation projects include our ‘Lights Out’ initiative for 12 floors of a head office building in the City of London; specialist exhibition lighting for the lottery funded refurbishment of Kew Bridge Museum of Water & Steam; and LED anti-ligature lighting for the Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust campus.
Design
Using advanced CAD software, we frequently work in conjunction with our fabric and mechanical colleagues developing electrical designs to enable their work packages as well as producing designs for our own autonomous electrical projects.
Installation
As with design, our installation services encompass all electrical building requirements including:
- Electrical Distribution
- Small Power Distribution
- Lighting
- LED ‘State of the Art’ Lighting
- Data Cabling
- UPS and IPS
- Fire Alarms
Testing
To support our clients’ regulatory obligations, we provide comprehensive periodic Electrical Testing and Inspection services, ensuring that installations meet current requirements and correcting any deterioration or faults in switch and control gear, wiring and fittings.
All electrical test and inspections are carried out in accordance with the 17th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations (BS7671) and are fully NICEIC certified.
Reactive and Planned Maintenance
Our electrical capability means that we are able to join forces with our fabric and mechanical divisions and provide comprehensive reactive and planned maintenance services to our client base.
Currently, we provide electrical maintenance services to a variety of businesses and institutions across our Commercial, Healthcare, Retail and Public Sector client base.
